The Porsche Singer 911

The rebuilt and customized Porsche 911 from Singer Vehicle Design in California (USA) have already achieved cult status in the scene of ambitious Porsche enthusiasts in just 15 years. In line with Singer's brand motto "Restored – Reimagined – Reborn", the "Classic Study" models are a modern tribute to the early 911 of the F-series, which Singer interprets for the 21st century according to its own specifications. They are high-quality restorations based on Porsche 911/964 models – optimized with attention to detail using state-of-the-art technology. Only 450 examples of this exclusive small series were produced between 2009 and 2022.

This vehicle

This vehicle was completely rebuilt by Singer in 2017 on the basis of a Porsche 911 Carrera 2 from the 964 series. It was delivered to the ordering party and to date only owner in Denmark in December 2017. Hence, this project was given the Singer-specific designation "Denmark Commission". The order contract with the specifications is available. The doner vehicle, built in 1990, was purchased in good, unwelded condition in France with a mileage of around 135,000 km. The former French license is also available. Numerous photos document the restoration at the Singer manufactory in California. The configuration includes an air-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine with a single-mass flywheel and 3.8 litre displacement, which delivers 350 hp at 6,850 rpm. The practically new engine was developed and built exclusively for Singer by the renowned engine manufacturer Ed Pink Racing Engines. In typical Singer style, it is finished to a high standard, with a nickel-plated air intake manifold. Power is transmitted via a manual Getrag six-speed gearbox in the G50/20 version. The chassis features an adjustable Ohlins suspension and an extra-powerful Singer-specific Brembo brake system with carbon-ceramic discs from British manufacturer Surface Transforms. The already attractive, iconic body of the classic 911 was given wider rear wings as part of the Singer conversion.

The wheels in the typical "Fuchs rims" look are fitted with the Singer-specific "White Nickel RSR" design. The main exterior feature of the "Reimagined Classic Study" are the narrow bumpers in the look of the early 911 F models. In this case, they are nickel-plated and have been given the Singer-specific "Touring Trim" option together with the rocker panels. The extendable rear wing is technically the same as on the 964 model, but its mechanics have also been refined to a high standard and its design is a subtle reference to the so-called "ducktail" with a finely modelled tear-off edge. The small cone-shaped exterior mirrors, which are mounted in the glass of the triangular window, are also a particular highlight. The brand lettering on the engine tailgate is finished in raised gold. The colour scheme of this reimagined sports car is both classic and special at the same time: the paint finish in "Rome Red" metallic is one of 75 colours defined exclusively for Singer, which is also provided with clear film paint protection. The interior is finished in black leather and is also refined in Singer style with great attention to detail. This includes, in particular, the contemporary Recaro sports seats, whose seat centre panels are made in a finely woven leather fabric. A design that is also reflected in the dashboard moulding and the door panels. Overall, the interior is characterised by the meticulous finish of every surface and every switch with high-quality materials that ensure a great visual and tactile experience.

The equipment of this Singer 911 includes numerous modern features and options such as an electric steel sunroof, a high-quality hi-fi sound system with removable subwoofer and DAB radio module (EU standard), contemporary Recaro sport seats as a "Singer Edition" with electric 8-way adjustment and air conditioning. The mileage of the base vehicle was not set to zero during the restoration, but was left in the counter so that the total mileage of the sports car is always visible. Since delivery to the purchaser and current owner, this Singer has only covered around 5,000 kilometres. For this period three invoices for regular service work at a Danish Porsche Centre are available (May 2018, June 2020 and August 2022). The exceptional restoration quality of Singer Vehicle Design, the attention to detail and nuanced, finely elaborated design elements as well as the high technical and construction standards ensure a unique experience – both in terms of driving performance and aesthetics. Porsche 911 "Reimagined by Singer" cars from the "Classic Study" are modern rarities and have made the brand almost legendary since 2009. They are highly valued and coveted by Porsche enthusiasts and sophisticated collectors. Every 911 designed by Singer is a bespoke creation, tailored to the individual wishes of the respective owner, and so no two highly personalised commissions are the same. This also includes the fact that all examples manufactured are given an individual commission designation that relates to the client, the country or another individual reference – in this case the "Denmark Commission". This Singer 911 car personifies all of these characteristics, as the Singer manufactory character and the aura of an automobile icon are always present. We offer an extremely rare opportunity to acquire such an almost unique vehicle from a total of only 450 examples in an extremely attractive appearance.
