Its V12 front engine came up with two camshafts per cylinder bank (the 4 in the designation), dry sump lubrication and six Weber twin carburettors for a power output of 300 hp. The design inspires now and then with a long bonnet and a fastback rear. ROADSTER RARITY. A Mercedes 300 S is one of the most sophisticated automobiles of the 1950s. Built largely by hand it was in the same league as Rolls Royce and Bentley by terms of exclusivity, comfort, workmanship and value. With only 141 examples built the roadster is the rarest version of all 300 S – and the most beautiful, as the fully retractable soft-top does not disturb the elegant side line when open. Our 1954 example was with its last owner for over 30 years! A special feature is the original and rare colour scheme in medium green (DB 229) combined with a green-grey leather interior (1081) and light-coloured soft top. BRITISH ICON FOR TRUE DRIVERS. Our new portfolio addition is a 1966 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster in its original and very attractive colour scheme in Opalescent Silver Grey with red leather interior and black soft top. It still has its matching numbers engine and original cylinder heads. With the ownership history mostly known the car just had two owners since 1997. In solid and well-kept condition with light patina it’s an ideal “Driver's car” to be enjoyed.
